PURCELLVILLE, VA — Another critical phase of Patrick Henry College's development has formally begun as graduates from 2002-2004 launched the College's official alumni association. In the group's first executive meeting, the newly-elected board spelled out an agenda to quickly implement a graduate involvement structure, host a gala marking the College's fifth anniversary, commission a scholarship fund for civic excellence, and explore new ways to advance the founding vision of the college.

Newly-elected members of the association are Beth Long '04, president; Mark Wohlschlegel '04, vice-president; Kristen Sabella '04, secretary; Matt Thornton '04, treasurer; Marianne Wasson '03, historian; and Mike Hengemuhle '04 and Jennifer Andrew '02, members-at-large. All board members are part of the inaugural group of students who enrolled at Patrick Henry in its first year of operation.

"A strong alumni network is a valuable source of internships for current students, jobs for graduates, and future revenue for the college," said Alumni President Beth Long. "We're looking forward to upholding the vision that brought us to PHC that very first year."
