PURCELLVILLE, VA — PHC freshman Craig Drinkall, a member of the school's Community Involvement Commission [CIC], has reinstated a longstanding relationship between Patrick Henry College and the Loudon Inter-Faith Relief Food Pantry.

Taking the mantle from students previously involved, Drinkall and students Adam Nicholson, Anne Corda, and Amy Alexander have been assisting the pantry on Thursdays from 10:30 to 12:00, stocking shelves and serving where they are needed.

"We're basically helping out people who can't afford much. This is a pretty expensive area to live, and by visiting the food pantry, any family, regardless of its size, can get meals for 3 days of the week," says Drinkall.

Fellow volunteer Adam Nicholson feels that the students are doing more than feeding families. "This is an excellent opportunity to serve the community and obtain a good reputation for the college," he says.

The CIC was established to help create good will between the college and community, and spread the light of Christ throughout the realm of the college's influence.
