PURCELLVILLE, VA – On Thursday, April 7, 2005, at 7:30 PM, Colonel Edward Badalato, one of the world's leading authorities on counter terrorism, will address the Patrick Henry College community at a special PHC Town Hall meeting. Colonel Badalato's address, "Taking the Terror out of Terrorism: A Blueprint for Defeating Terrorism," will explain steps that local communities, neighborhoods, and governments can take to help defeat terrorism.

Currently the Executive Vice President for Homeland Security with the Shaw Group, Colonel Badalato served former Presidents Reagan and Bush as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy focusing on counter terrorism and emergency planning. He has more than 30 years experience in security operations and contingency planning, and is considered one of the true experts in applied homeland security techniques including combating terrorism, energy security and environmental operations, contingency planning, and emergency response. Colonel Badalato is a retired Marine with three combat tours in Vietnam.

Located in Purcellville, Virginia, just 50 miles from the nation's capital, Patrick Henry College is a classical Christian liberal arts college dedicated to timeless biblical values and the spirit of the American founding.
