Professor Marvin teaches PHC's core course in Geometry. He holds an M.Ed. in Mathematics Education and has finished the course work for a Ph.D. at the University of North Texas. Professor Marvin began teaching mathematics in 1974 and has taught all levels of middle and high school math, from Algebra I to AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and Computer Programming. He has taught all over the country, including New York and Colorado, and his current position at Potomac Falls High School in Sterling, Virginia.
Professor Marvin is an ardent athlete who was captain of his baseball team in college and played semi-professional baseball for several years, and who now enjoys playing golf. Professor Marvin and his wife Cheryl have four adult children and three grandchildren.
