In 2009, Patrick Henry College and HSLDA launched HSLDA Online Academy, formerly known as PHC Preparatory Academy, to provide advanced high school courses taught from a Christian worldview. Through online delivery, HSLDA Online Academy has made the academic expertise and spiritual wisdom of Patrick Henry College professors and other excellent Christian teachers accessible to students in all 50 states and 10 other countries around the world. The Academy offers Advanced Placement*® high school courses, equivalent in scope and difficulty to first-year college courses, as well as regular high school courses. The total scholarship award is matched to the amount paid to HSLDA Online Academy for AP®course tuition, beginning in Fall 2014. Tuition spent on HSLDA Online Academy courses prior to the 2014–15 academic year will not count toward the matching scholarship. HSLDA Online Academy registration fees and books/materials expenses are also not included in the scholarship match. The amount of tuition countable toward the scholarship match is determined after the add/drop date for each HSLDA Online Academy course. Non-refunded tuition for courses dropped prior to the add/drop date will not be counted.
