Joe Cheatwood is originally from Troy, Ohio, and was homeschooled until college. He attended Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio, before transferring to Patrick Henry College in the fall of 2009. He graduated with a degree in Political Theory in the spring of 2012. He worked on the Grounds crew as a student worker and student supervisor until starting as Grounds Supervisor in May of 2012.

During his time at PHC, Joe found himself accidentally in charge of an Irish punk band called the Loch Bob Shamrockers. Joe played the tin whistle and wore a large red beard whenever appearing on stage. Joe is also an Eagle Scout and once tanned a deerskin with the deer's own brain.

Joe is assisted in his work by a dedicated team of student employees who work tirelessly to keep the campus looking sharp.
