The PHC Information Technology department provides technical support to the staff, faculty, and students of the college. The department operates a helpdesk for the campus during business hours. IT workers are responsible for all the computers, audio visual equipment, security systems, software, phone system, servers, network, and anything else that involves technology on-campus.
Mr. Burtner came to PHC in April of 2005 to form the college’s new Information Technology department. After graduating from Western Carolina University with a BSBA in Information Systems, he went to work for IBM Corporation as a Systems Engineer. He has worked as an Information Technology Director in the Banking and Manufacturing industries prior to coming to PHC. He has been involved in the technology field for over 30 years.
A dedicated team of staff and student employees work tirelessly together to keep the campus IT infrastructure operable and secure and to support all campus patrons with their IT needs.
