For the racquet-minded, Patrick Henry offers professionally finished hardcourt tennis courts, available to student and staff players. Re-designed as part of the new Barbara Hodel Center facility, the lighted courts will allow for extended playing time. Plans for the completed Center also include enclosed racquetball courts.

The most developed intramural program at PHC, Ultimate Frisbee players practice in rain, sleet or sun, preparing for the spring Intramural Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Dozens of teams participate in the four-weekend tournament, making full use of PHC's acre-sized Ultimate Frisbee field. Even in winter, it is not uncommon to see well-padded students flying after a snowdrifted disc. |

Sunny days in Northern Virginia bring out birds, tulips, and volleyball players at PHC. Featuring premium white sand, the tournament-size court hosts a variety of spontaneous matches and round-robin events, providing a welcome distraction from papers and examinations.

Outside of Patrick Henry College's regular basketball season, PHC students enjoy both outdoor and (with the near completion of the new Student Life building gymnasium) indoor basketball. Pickup rounds, round robin tournaments and student vs. faculty games are all popular features, especially in early fall and late spring.
