Patrick Henry College enjoys a special connection with WORLD Magazine through our Distinguished Chair in Journalism and Public Policy, Dr. Marvin Olasky, who also serves as editor-in-chief of WORLD. As a result, students at PHC have the inside track to internships with WORLD, researching articles and writing for national publication under the direct mentorship of Dr. Olasky. Additionally, the College's Associate Professor of Journalism, Dr. Les Sillars, is an editor at WORLD and assigns stories to PHC journalism students for WORLD Virginia, an online regional bureau of WORLD Magazine.

"Our Patrick Henry College interns are doing a great job," says Dr. Olasky. "They continue to write excellent, in-depth articles for WORLD Magazine and for all of our online publications. Students interested in a career in the fast-changing world of journalism should give serious consideration to Patrick Henry College and its unique internship opportunities with WORLD."

Student opportunities with WORLD publications include:

WORLD's regional outlet for Virginia is edited by Dr. Les Sillars, and many PHC students write and have written for the website. It provides an excellent opportunity to write to deadline for a public audience.
