PHC vs. Christendom

11/28/23

The Lady Sentinels struggled with Christendom, the only undefeated team left in the USCAA Division 2, falling 99-35.

Led by 6’2” Catherine Thomas, the two-time All-American and leading scorer in the USCAA, the Crusaders quickly opened up a 14-point lead just 5 minutes into the game and cruised from there. Thomas led Christendom with 39 points.

The Sentinels also suffered from below-average shooting, only hitting 16% overall from the field. In spite of the off-shooting night, the ladies played hard throughout and scored more points against Christendom than they ever had done previously.  Freshman point guard Liana Devore topped the PHC score sheet with 17 points.

Christendom was expected to be the toughest opponent they would face all year and they proved it. The Sentinels look to bounce back in their last game before winter break against WVU Potomac State College on Monday, December 4th!
