PHC Falls 2-1 in Clash with ABC

In soccer, the game can be won on a single play despite how the game has gone previously. This was unfortunately the case for PHC as they fell 2-1 to Appalachian Bible College on Saturday. This certainly was a tough pill for the Sentinels to swallow. However, there are many positives for the lads to take away from this game.

The Warriors got off to a hot start with a sweet strike from ABC’s #5. However, it didn’t take long for PHC to assert their dominance with possession and attacking play. With Ty Everman providing a plethora of shots on goal and Isaac Bedrosian controlling the center of the pitch, the Sentinels scored their first goal of the season courtesy of a great finish from freshman Aiden Hartman. The two teams traded chances throughout the rest of the game. In the end, a wonder run from the Warriors’ #10 sealed the win for ABC 2-1. Despite the loss, PHC continues to show growth under Coach Ben Thompson and their first win of the season certainly isn’t far away.

The boys head back to campus this week as they prepare for an away game against Bucks County Community College on September 7.
