Sentinels Prove They’ve Got Grit in 1-0 Win
PHC was singing in the rain on Saturday as they duked it out for their first win of the season, beating an extremely talented Bucks County team. All the work, sweat, highs, and lows of the beginning of the season has finally come to fruition for the Sentinels. The game started tough for PHC as our boys were under pressure early with multiple chances created by BCCC. However, the Sentinels didn’t give up, and eventually, they found a way to breakthrough after the opponent’s GK took out Ty Everman, awarding PHC a penalty kick which Owen Armstrong buried. After that, it took all 19 members of the squad to stop a barrage of BCCC attacks throughout the rest of the game. In the end, with incredible defensive performances by Chris Ziemnick, Rob Canfield, Spencer Hamilton, and Jackson Bell, PHC was able to milk the clock to earn their first win of the season. A win truly deserved for our boys in blue!
PHC will look to continue the momentum as they begin a four-game home stretch on Wednesday which begins with PSU York. Make sure to come out and support our Sentinels!
