Access to the campus, its buildings, facilities, and amenities is monitored and controlled. The Patrick Henry College campus is private property. Other than students, faculty, staff, and authorized patrons, no other persons are permitted to freely roam about the campus or its buildings without reasonable, just, and proper cause.
Visitors are expected to first inquire and sign in at the Information Desk in the lobby of Hodel Center or Founders Hall for the party whom they wish to contact, who will then be summoned to the applicable lobby to receive their visitor. No solicitors or vendors are permitted without a prearranged appointment. No contractor, vendor, guest, or Alumni will be allowed to freely roam the buildings. They must be accompanied by a faculty member, staff member, or designated student to their workspace, office, conference room, classroom, etc.
Campus fitness facilities (both indoor and outdoor) are provided principally for students, faculty, campus staff (including HSLDA employees), cohabitant family members of students/faculty/staff, and hosted guests of students/faculty/staff. The gymnasium and fitness center are located within the Hodel Center. Hodel Center opens at 6 am every day and closes at 11:45 pm Sunday through Thursday and at 12:45 am Friday and Saturday nights (actually early Saturday and Sunday mornings). However, access to the Hodel Center is prohibited at 9:00 pm to the outside campus community.
All individuals who are not current students, faculty, or staff of Patrick Henry College who wish to make personal use of campus fitness facilities must first check in at the Information Desk located in the front lobby of Hodel Center prior to 9:00 pm. All other organized use must be coordinated 7 days in advance and pre-approved through the Director of Campus Facilities and Security.
