In the PHC Library catalog, you can search a variety of resources by title, author, keyword, or phrase, linking you to journal articles, ebooks, and print books in the on-campus collection. The more specific your search terms, the more specific the results will be. For our Distance Learning (DL) students, excerpts from print items held in the on campus library can be provided on request.

JSTOR collection contains complete issues of thousands of scholarly journals in a wide range of disciplines. Issues from the most recent two to five years for each title are not included in the collection.
ProQuest and Academic Search Premier contain thousands of articles in broad areas of social sciences and law. For the most current sources on a subject, limit search to the last year or last 2 - 3 years.
LexisNexis provides access to a wide range business, government, legal and reference information, as well as full-text newspapers.
BBC Country Profiles and CIA World Factbook are quick guides to the history, politics, and economy of countries and territories. The guides also profile key persons and institutions.
Brookings Institution provides scholarly research on a variety of usbjects, generally from a more liberal perspective.
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is the oldest international foreign policy think tank in the United States. It has a reputation for excellent sholarship
Center for Strategic and International Studies is a think tank focusing on practical solutions to international problems.
Council on Foreign Relations is an independent research and policy analysis center focusing on complex foreign relations issues.
Europa is the official website for the European Union and offers access to demographic, economic, and legal information on the European Union.
Heritage Foundation provides scholarly research on a variety of usbjects, generally from a more conservative perspective.
Migration Policy Institute is an independent, think tank dedicated to the study of the movement of people worldwide.
