Professor Weitz holds an M.A. in Christian and Classical Studies from Knox Seminary and earned a Certificate in Classical Learning from the University of Dallas in May of 2022. She is the author of Cottage Press, a comprehensive grammar and composition language arts curriculum based on the classical progymnasmata. She currently serves as the Dean of Academics at Loudoun Classical School, a local collegiate model upper school. For many years, Professor Weitz educated her children at home; she also helped to found a local classical home education community in Purcellville. Professor Weitz and her husband Rick have been passionate supporters of Patrick Henry College since its inception; three of their six children have graduated from PHC, and one is a current student. The Weitz family lives in Round Hill, Virginia.
