Nick Griepsma is a practicing attorney in Washington, D.C., and is an Adjunct Professor of Government, with a special focus on law. Nick earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and clerked for Judge Leslie H. Southwick on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Jackson, Mississippi. Nick’s law practice focuses on complex trial and appellate litigation in both state and federal court, including commercial litigation and regulatory adjudications before federal agencies.
Nick is a former U.S. Army Captain, having served on active duty as an Armored Cavalry Officer in support of the Global War on Terrorism. From 2011-2012, Nick deployed to Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. There, Nick led a platoon of infantrymen and cavalry scouts and was awarded the Bronze Star. His insights regarding small unit counter-insurgency tactics and strategy were featured in the Small Wars Journal.
Nick and his wife Kayti reside in Purcellville, Virginia with their three children.
