Ever wish you could go back in time and tell yourself some things? While these upperclassmen can't time travel, they do want to share some advice to any freshman who is venturing into college this year:

When I arrived on campus, I wish someone told me I could wake up 5 minutes before my 8am and still make it.
College is actually not impossible and you will live, even if it’s hard sometimes.
I wish that someone had told me that rooming in a 4 person room could be awesome. I was a little nervous at first with having 3 roommates, but it turned out that my 3 roommates freshmen year have been some of my best friends that I’ve made here at college.
Always eat the blueberry bagels. They are the best thing in the entire school and will sustain you through all your troubles.
I wish someone had told me what it would be like to live in a dorm and how good it would be to live with the other guys.
I wish someone had told me that it's ok to leave academic events to go to fun events, and that it’s ok to leave fun social events to go work on academics. It’s important to have that healthy, academic, fun balance and I don’t think enough people know that walking in.
I really wish someone had told me (to my mother’s disapproval of course) that you don’t need to separate the colors before putting them in the laundry. It’s perfectly fine to put them all in the same load – save money, save time, and get clean clothes.
Check your paper grade before going into the dining hall so that if it’s really upsetting you can go cry in your room.
I think that one of the most important things I wish someone had told me was how important relationships are and how more important than the GPA and studying for any sort of test is the friendships that you’re going to gain over college and the things you’ll learn from other people.
The thing I wish I was told as a freshman is that it’s not all about the grades. I came in pretty driven, with this idea of perfection and what I ought to bed. It’s great to have a good work ethic, but at the end of the day, do your work, turn it in, and don’t be afraid to relax. It’s college – it’s supposed to be fun!
