This endowed scholarship fund was established to memorialize and celebrate the life of Louise Lipscomb Fingarson by her daughters, Beverly Lipscomb Walker and Carlton Lipscomb Rowe.
"Our minds and hearts are rich with memories of our mother and the daily influence she had in building character into our lives. After a brief teaching career, she devoted herself to her husband, to rearing their two daughters, and to making our home a welcome place for family and friends. Her love of the Lord led to serve in her church and volunteer in her community. Simple pleasures and extending hospitality to friends brought much meaning to her life.
In recognition of Louise Lipscomb Fingarson's life, this scholarship is intended to provide assistance for promising young men and women to carry on the work of advancing the kingdom of Christ. We hope that future leaders will proceed into the service of our Lord and to others, in part because she lived."
The Louise Lipscomb Fingarson Scholarship Fund will allow Patrick Henry College to perpetually bless countless deserving students by enabling them to begin, continue, and finish their education in the service of Christ and Liberty.
