Senior Chris Baldacci delivered the opening arguments in a political debate between Cato Institute and Heritage Foundation interns this month.
The interns debated issues including immigration policy, physician-assisted suicide, the opioid epidemic, and more.
“Where we disagree and where the crux of this debate lies is over the nature and extent of … freedom. The question of tonight’s debate is not, ‘Should we desire freedom,’ but rather, ‘What kind of freedom should we desire?’”
Baldacci spent this summer interning at the Heritage Foundation’s Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies. He is also a two-time American Moot Court Association National Champion.
Patrick Henry College equips students like Baldacci to speak with conviction and eloquence not only in collegiate forensics but also in the spheres beyond.
