Anyone who has had the pleasure of reading Dr. Gene Edward Veith's writings, has heard him talk, or has been a student in one of his classes will know that he cares deeply about the concept of "vocation." He has repeatedly emphasized a need for students in college to find a purpose to live and work that goes beyond making money. For Christian students, that means looking for the calling that God has placed on every person's life.
So in doing that—especially in college—how should Christian college students and their parents go about selecting an institution that will help them pursue God's calling for them?
Dr. Veith is a pillar of classical education and, as the former Dean of Academic Affairs at PHC, has been instrumental in shaping the education we provide here. He recently sat down with Marvin Olasky, the Editor in Chief of WORLD Magazine to discuss the college search from the perspective of Christian parents.
