The scriptural passages are your primary text and should be the focus of the assignment with commentaries used to give context, perspective, and insights. Christian Classics Ethereal Library offers a variety of full-text Christian classics.
Bible Gateway provides helpful search capabilities, such as word and passage search, footnotes, and cross references in a number of English versions and several additional languages.
Gnostic Society Library offers primary source documents and commentaries from and about Gnostic writers and writings in the early church era. It also includes information on the Apocrypha.
Jewish Encyclopedia provides access to the 12 volume set completed in 1906. Although not updated for the 20th century, information is a valued resource for those interested in the Jewish roots of Christian belief and tradition.
