The Heritage Foundation ranked PHC as a “Great Option,” the highest possible category, on its list of the best colleges for conservatives. “Great Option” colleges are deemed “solid choices for families that value freedom, opportunity, and civil society.”
Criteria for the ranking include rigorous academics, independence from extensive DEI bureaucracies, and a solid return on investment through competitive post-graduation incomes. PHC meets every one of these.
In fact, PHC’s exemplary 63-credit core curriculum earned an “A+” rating from the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA), which grades institutions on the range of classes that undergraduate schools require. ACTA lists PHC as a “Hidden Gem,” indicating that its programs “guide students through a high-quality and coherent interdisciplinary education across the liberal arts." (CollegeRaptor likewise describes PHC as a Hidden Gem).
As The Heritage Foundation's description of “Great Option” schools states, PHC fosters "free expression, making [it] ideal for those seeking academic excellence and ideological balance.”
